The Floor Show.

So once again the Con Main floor is gigantic.

We hit preview night, but really all it became was a sea of people hypnotized by flashing lights, shiney things, giant towering comic book icons, and wild eyed fans overcome by art.

We're through the looking glass people, this is hardcore, This Is COMIC CON!

So, we have touch down, and splashdown.

I love this place it keeps me sane.

I also later had drinks with the lovely blonde in the dress in this picture.

Did I mention how much I love San Diego?

So far the weather is fine and the crowds are well the crowds.

So it's two days to the show,

And make no mistake it is a show, a place to see and be seen.

Hell it's the prom, and yes I know while i know that's already been appropriated, trademarked, and twittered and it'll most likely be on fruit roll ups next, it still doesn't change the contract,

It's time to let your freak flag fly!

You see I unlike the other naysayers on the net, love that the Con has become this big behemoth,

I love that it packed to the gills with all manner of movers, shakers, hanger ons and wannabe holloywood types.

It warms my heart that the big studios and networks trip over themselves to lay their wares at the feet of geekdom/fandom (you pick I don't care) and look up at us with pleading watery eyes, hoping that we'll care.

I like that.

I like that a lot.
